Completed automatic sliding door repair for a Toronto office lobby where heavy weekday traffic had started exposing inconsistent activation, rough travel and uneven closing at the main entrance.
This completed project sits in Toronto, more specifically in Financial District near King Street West. It supports our Automatic Door Systems work by showing how the scope was adapted to the property type, the local corridor and the way the entrance is actually used.
The entrance served as the primary lobby access point for tenants, visitors and deliveries in a busy office property. Because the front door set the tone for the building and handled constant movement throughout the day, the repair had to improve reliability without creating unnecessary disruption at the lobby.
This project sat in the Financial District, where weekday spikes at the main lobby create a different wear profile than low-cycle suburban entrances. Faster opening consistency, cleaner closing and better sensor response mattered because the entry handled tenants, visitors and courier traffic from the surrounding office corridor.
Building staff reported hesitation on activation, slower opening speed during peak traffic periods and inconsistent closing at one leaf. The door was still operating, but the entrance no longer felt smooth or dependable, and that is usually when a high-traffic automatic system starts generating more complaints and more wear.
The completed work focused on the sliding operator setup, motion and presence sensors, door panel alignment, guide conditions and opening-cycle adjustments. The entrance was serviced, recalibrated and tested through repeated cycles so the system would open more consistently, close cleaner and respond better to regular office traffic.
Office lobby entrances carry both operational and presentation pressure. In this environment, a door that hesitates or drifts out of adjustment affects tenant experience, front-desk workflow and the overall standard expected in a downtown office property.
The entrance conditions in Financial District near King Street West affected the final scope, including traffic needs, visibility, accessibility and day-to-day use of the opening.
This project reflects the building conditions, traffic needs and entrance scope at this specific property.
This project ties directly into our Automatic Door Systems scope and our work across Office Buildings. If your entrance is showing similar issues, we can review the building context and recommend the most practical next step.
